Scott Hays, Producer / Host
Scott has more than 20 years experience as an editor/writer for general consumer and business-to-business publications. He has contributed feature articles and cover stories to various national magazines, newspapers, and websites, including Men’s Health, TV Guide, The Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Magazine, and Men’s Fitness; and he has authored or co-authored several non-fiction books for such publishing companies as Warner Books, Gotham Books, Rodale Press, and Barron’s. Scott holds a Master’s Degree in English Literature and in Communications, and he teaches part-time at several southern California colleges.

Jim Bastian, Producer / Host
Jim is a partner with the law firm Shulman Hodges & Bastian LLP, where he heads the Firm’s Bankruptcy and Reorganization practice area and serves as the Firm’s Director of Marketing. Jim also has long been committed to community service dating back to when he received the Chancellor’s Service Award while an undergraduate at UCLA. He is Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mission Hospital Foundation, and past President of the Bell Tower Foundation. Jim is also active in helping to raise money for numerous charity organizations, including Education for the Children, Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, and The Public Law Center.

April Johnson, Music Director / Engineer
April Johnson took to the radio waves for the first time while attending college, and honed her skills by working on two distinctive shows. As a musician herself, April entry into her role as sound engineer and music director couldn’t have been a more perfect fit. She enjoys music from the 60s and 70s, and is mostly influenced by bands such as the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and Bonnie Raitt. After seeing the Beach Boys in concert at the age of eight, Johnson immediately knew that music had to be a part of her life.

Jill Harvey, Healthy Lifestyle Reporter
Jill is passionate for health, fitness, and total wellbeing on all levels of mind, body and soul. With more than 25 years of professional experience, and a lifetime of personal experience, she brings warmth, intelligence, humor and grace to all her endeavors, including as a fitness instructor at Renaissance ClubSport in Aliso Viejo, Calif. Jill holds multiple certifications and she believes that being healthy involves more than just exercise and eating well, it’s also about balance and one’s mental outlook on life.

Sandie Ward, Food Stalker
Sandie has spent the last several years traveling the world, uncovering adventures to highlight on her interested in the finer things in life. Her escapades include Pebble Beach Food and Wine and The Oscars/Academy Awards. She is a respected blogger who has interviewed such iconic figures as Wolfgang Puck at the Oscars, author Mary Higgins Clark, filmmaker David Lynch, and stylist Daphne Guinness, among many others. In addition, Sandie has been featured in Marketing Eye Magazine.

Keariene Muizz, Art Reporter
Keariene is a contemporary artist and gallerist, and a full-time visionary who is deeply enmeshed in the creative culture of Orange County. Born in Chicago and educated in Paris, she a 2006 recipient of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for her advocacy with at-risk youth and foster teens. Her hobbies include repairing her collection of high heels, taking pictures of rainbows, and replacing dead herbs in her organic garden so she can continue to pretend she has a green thumb.

Katy Fetters, Social Media Editor
Katy is a senior at Soka University of Americ, where she’s studying media theories and innovative happenings on the World Wide Web. She likes to write about such things as the Millennial Generation and encounters from her travels abroad. She leads a supportive community online for youth with cerebral palsy, but sometimes has a conflicted relationship with the Internet. She loves The Arctic Monkeys, her French bulldog, and her identical twin sister.

Faye Chapman, Photographer
Faye’s passion for photography led to her focus on the homeless. Years ago during a photo shoot, a homeless woman accidentally appeared in Faye’s viewfinder. The woman’s expression changed Faye’s life and inspired her book: Faces of the Shadows, Life on the Street, intended to raise awareness for the homeless. Her passion for photography translates right through the lens and into memorable and wonderful photographs.

Robert Emil Palmer / Co-Host and Co-Producer
December 11, 1956 – September 4, 2014

Robert E. Palmer passed away on 4 September 2014 at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, California. He died after returning home from China the previous evening. He was 57 years old.

Robert served as chair of the Board of Directors for OC United way, the co-chair of the OC Alexis de Tocqueville Society, and as a member of the Board of Directors for the South Coast Repertory Theater. Through his efforts, he helped these organizations to do more good, to serve more people, and to reach greater heights than they ever imagined possible.

Robert was an in-demand litigator at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s Orange County office. He joined the firm in 1984 after earning a law degree magna cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law, and serving as the editor-in-chief of the Pepperdine Law Review.

He was also co-host and co-producer of the radio-cable TV show “Radio Caravan”, where he was adored by everyone attached to these projects.

Robert was a sturdy presence in the lives of his many friends, giving all he could, whenever he could, with an unwavering belief in the goodness of people and the possibilities that only come with an open heart.
